With
the clock ticking towards the start of the CAF Champions League opening
rounds in February, Kenyan representatives, Gor Mahia, have moved to
bolster their management but their intended addition has been met by
uproar from devoted fans.On Tuesday, club secretary general,Wheel forks suppliers George
Bwana, confirmed to the press that their former head coach who was also
coached the national team, Harambee Stars, Zedekiah Otieno, is set for a
dramatic return to the local league titleholders."We are aware the 2014
season will be tough, since we are set to participate in many
competitions including the CAF Champions League," said Bwana."If you
look at teams in the English Premier League, most of them have more than
two assistant coaches, and that' s what we want to embrace at Gor,"
Bwana told local radio station, Capital FM on Wednesday. If the
appointment comes through, Otieno, who captained Gor to the league crown
in 1995 before returning to coach the side,Buy Smiling Face Handbag(AAA) wholesale,

John Bobby Ogolla, as assistants to Scottish head coach, Bobby
Williamson. The impending arrival of the tactician who left the club in
2011 has done little to assuage fears that Williamson, who led Gor to
the first domestic title in 18 years last season, was set to ditch the
club in favour of Tanzanian giants, Yanga SC, who also won their league
in 2013.However, Bwana denied Williamson was on the verge of exit saying
instead they were seeking to hand him a long-term contract in the near
future."Coach Bobby is here to stay. As matter of fact, we are working
on a longer contract. We are just looking at strengthening the technical
bench in preparation for what promises to be a tough and explosive
soccer season."
"So
kindly manage the speculations," the secretary posted on the official
Gor Mahia FC Facebook page as supporters turned to the social media
platform to slam the decision to hire Otieno back."Otieno is a good
tactician but a poor manager. His divide and rule tactic belongs to
politics not soccer. Gor can take him for an MBA majoring in
management," one posting under Bernard Arthur commented.Custom LOL cute Q version design pure cotton long sleeve T-shirt"I don't have problem with both the Bobbies (Ogola and Williamson). Philip Nyakwaka Olero added."The two Bobbies have done well and the
last (person) you should think of kicking out Ogolla! Otieno divided the
team during his time and wasn't fair to all. We saw what happened (and)
if he is coming then (he should come) as a member of technical bench,
not coach," Vincent Ahono, lamented. It was Gor fans, angered at an
eight-match winless streak, who hounded out Otieno from the side in
September 2011 after losing a local league game 2-1 to Congo United who
were relegated from the top flight that season. At the time, he was also
in charge of the national team with Gor supporters claiming he had
little time for the side he led to second in the league in 2010 before
taking them to the botched CAF Confederation Cup campaign the following
season.Otieno, who is currently employed as head coach at another local
top flight outfit, Sony Sugar, colloquially known as 'Gor B' could not
be reached for comment on the matter. The Kenyan champions have been
drawn against Gabonese side US Bitam in the preliminary round of the
2014 CAF Champions League with the first leg scheduled for the weekend
of Feb. 7 to 9.The return will be played between Feb 14 to 16 in Gabon,
with the winners earning a mouth watering first round clash with
Tunisian giants, Esperance de Tunis.
