Saturday Spring decor

I have a frame, a sweet little basket, and a nice card as well.

First is this frame, I took an old wooden frame,China Hair Bands Knitted Offers beaded with sequins on the fringe and a glass bead on the center. which was black, and painted it with crackle medium, after following the direction which are allow to dry for two hours, I painted the frame with a cream acrylic paint. When it wChina Character Bows Suppliers Totes. These handmade soft, feminine bags of tapestries, trims and feathers will add panache to its owner.ad dry, I edged the frame with a light brown ink pad to age it.

I used the blue paper to put the backgound in, then I added this graph paper cut at the corners with deco scissors. I cut out my bunny from chocolate cardstock- ( I love that it looks like a chocolate bunny!) and also cut out the shadow with this pretty peachy pink color. I mounted the bunny and shadow together and I added a little green grass cut and trimmed it off the sides. I then glittered all around the outside of the shadow edge. I put the whole image on some foam tape and attached it to my frame.

To finish up the bunny image, I added a banner on some foam tape, and this small Spring word adhered to the banner.China Silk Flowers Suppliers I also tied on a button and twine for the bunny’s neck. To finish the frame, I cut four strips of the pink gingham, and mitered the edges then adhered them just to the outside of the frame edge. I also tied another twine bow and topped that with a single button.

For the basket, I kept the bunny image the same, only making it much smaller and I used the unlink button on my gypsy to enlongate the bunny image to better fit the basket. I first cut the basket out using cream cardstock, then I put the basket together using a scoring board to help make the edge creases. I then cut a 1/2×9 inch strip of cardstock and attached that to the inside of the basket for a handle. I put buttons tied with twine at each handle side on the basket.

I wrapped the blue paper around the basket, and then placed my bunny image on foam tape and attached it to the basket. Because the bunny was so much smaller, this twine bow was topped with a medium pink pearl.

I then filled my basket with Easter grass and some sweet goodies!!

Lastly I thought I’d make a card that would go well with this pretty bunny set.

I used the same papers, covering my card base with green paper, then added a pink gingham scallop border that I then punched, then a strip of the blue paper between the two papers. . I again layered on my foam tape to the bunny image, and decorated the bunny with a larger twine bow and a fabric flower. I added a button at the top and bottom of the bunny frame.

I think this set would be a lovely hostess gift if you are going to someone else’s home for Easter dinner, or just a pretty cheer up gift for a friend. You could even gift each piece separately if you are so inclined!
